Hot House Turtles are proud to be New Zealands
distributor of URS ULTIMATE REPTILE SUPPLIES products. Following are
descriptions of each URS product that we distribute. Each product has
been personally tried and tested by Hot House Turtles.
URS Lead E27 Ceramic Screw Fitting with in-line
switch. These fittings are easy to install in Terrariums and are suitable
for all E27 Screw in bulbs available (up to a maximum of 250 Watt), including
Ceramic Heat Emitters, UVA Basking Lamps, Infra-red Heat Bulbs and Mercury Vapour Lamps. (Please
note: I strongly recommend that Ceramic Heat Emitters are used in conjunction with URS
READY WIRED MESH COVER to avoid accidental contact with these bulbs.)
URS LAMP AND CLAMP. Great for over
basking areas. This allows you to screw in heating or lighting bulbs directing
light and heat downwards. Max 100 watt. Comes with own E27 ceramic
fitting with off/on switch.
URS READY WIRED MESH COVER. This mesh
cover prevents the animals and the owner from burning themselves.
They are easy to mount and shield a variety of incandescent and ceramic globes. Comes
complete with an E27 ceramic fitting,located inside the mesh with an easy drop down access
that can be quickly opened by a secure latch. Diameter 130mm Height 225mm. Max 250
watt.
URS BASKING SPOT GLOBE. This BASKING
LAMP is a broad spectrum UVA daylight bulb for creating a
basking area for reptiles. It produces heat and increases the ambient temperature with
reflective inner glass that directs heat downwards. 60 watt.
URS INFRARED SPOT GLOBE. These lights are
incandescent nocturnal heat lamps used to create a basking
area for reptiles. Viewing your animal at night with a daylight bulb can alter
the reptiles perception of day length, which can lead to stress causing illness. Use an INFRARED
lightbulb at night and it will not disturb your pet. 60 watt.
URS BLACK CERAMIC HEAT EMITTER. A high
quality ceramic heat element for reptiles, which does
not emit any light so is suitable for day and night use. Ceramic Heat Emitters
have a longer life span then incandescent bulbs. We highly recommend the use of a protective
cover and must be used with a ceramic screw in fitting. 100
and 150 watt.
  
NEW URS Carbon Fibre FAR Infrared Heat Lamps,
available in 3 wattages 100, 75 & 50 watt.
The Radiant
Carbon Fibre FAR Infrared Heat Lamp transfers energy purely in the form of heat
and is only absorbed by matter. This gives a more efficient form of heating which gets
right into the tissue of an animal to give a more natural heating sensation, much like the
heat you feel from the rays of the sun.
Comes with silicon heat protection
cover! The 50 Watt is the perfect size for a basking lamp for Turtles and they
withstand humidity and splash.
The Repta Probe Thermostat should also be used
to maintain required temperature which will avoid overheating your pet. E27 compatable.
